Our Sage is available from 7am -11pm (AEST), every day. If you submit a request for a script before 7am, you will receive a call during these operating hours.

The easiest way to speak to one of our doctors is to download the Our Sage app. The app lets you connect with a doctor at a time that’s convenient to you. Simply complete your contact information and confirm your payment details and one of our doctors will call you when they are available.

A standard consultation with a doctor online lasts 10 minutes. If you have more than one matter to discuss, you can request an extended consultation for an additional fee. If you want to speak to a doctor urgently, you can also request a priority consultation for an additional fee which will put you at the front of the queue.

Due to Medicare rules around telehealth appointments, we’re not able to bulk bill for online consultations. You will need to pay a fee to talk to one of our doctors and there is no Medicare rebate. Fees are as follows:

Standard consult - $49 Priority consult (jump the queue) - $69.

You will need to provide your payment details when you request your appointment, but you won’t be charged until after your consultation. The first time you register as a patient, we will ask for your Medicare card or IHI details. This is so we can verify if you are eligible for Medicare funded benefits like the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and some pathology and imaging services.

An online script or eScript, is a prescription for medication that is supplied to you electronically.

Its easy to request an online script with Our Sage with 3 simple steps:

1. Complete the request via the Our Sage app or the Our Sage website
2. Speak to a healthcare professional
3. Once approved, your eScript will be sent to your email, SMS or Our Sage app

A single prescription for a medication you are already taking is $21. To request a prescription for a new medication or to request a change to a current medication, you will need to speak to an Our Sage healthcare professional. A new prescription request is $49.

The prescribing of any medication is at the discretion of the consulting Our Sage healthcare professional and is not guaranteed. Our Sage healthcare professionals are unable to prescribe controlled, addictive, Schedule 8 / Schedule 4D Streamlined Authority medications. Refunds will not be provided for consultations that don’t result in a prescription.

Yes, online medical certificates are legal in Australia as long as they are issued by a registered and licenced medical practitioner and follow the Medical Board of Australia’s guidelines for online consultations. All Our Sage healthcare professionals are licenced, registered and experienced in providing online medical certificates that meet all the necessary legal requirements. Read more here.

Yes. All our telehealth doctors are Australian-licenced, practicing GPs and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
